Peeling is the psychedelic post punk project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Anna Timoshenko. Formed in 2016 in Toronto, Peeling has released 2 EP's (Rats In Paradise & 7 Years of Blood) and toured throughout North America. Featuring a rotating live lineup of some of Canada's favorite freaks (including members of Dilly Dally, Odonis Odonis & Preoccupations), Peeling has shared the stage with artists such as Thee Oh Sees, WAND, Richard Lloyd (Television), SUUNS and A Place To Bury Strangers.
Peeling has appeared in VICE, The Fader and She Shreds magazines, showcased at CMW, Sled Island & POP Montreal and has been played on college and independent radio stations across the world, as well as KEXP's "Music That Matters" podcast. Their track 'Away From You' is featured on Season 1 of the Netflix drama 'Burden of Truth'.
In 2018, Timoshenko began working on the songs for Peeling's debut LP Worshipper, recording and producing the tracks on a makeshift mobile studio while traveling through Indonesia and Argentina. Citing a broad range of influences from krautrock to no wave, Worshipper coalesces textured, droning guitars with agile, grooving rhythms - while still maintaining an affinity for melodic noisy pop.
Worshipper releases worldwide on 11/27/2020.
